I'm seeking someone to talk to who at age 47 elected to have an oophrectomy and experienced surgical menapause.  I am OK about the surgical procedure but terrified of how my quality of life might deteriorate after surgery.  Surgery is on the 29th March and I am starting to get very afraid.  I am told that the horror stories on the web generally relate to women much younger than myself so it would be great to talk to someone who experienced it at the same age.

Have just been reading both your posts. This forum doesn't seem to be very active lately. I would just like to give my support to you both but am not sure of where you are at and whether you have actually been diagnosed with cancer or are just worried as to whether you have it. Please both come back and let me know how you are.
